MOD releases video of liberated Sudzha
The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage from the town of Sudzha in Kursk Region, liberated from Ukrainian control following Kiev's incursion in August 2024.
The clip shows a devastated settlement, where swaths of the town’s infrastructure, including schools, shops and residential buildings have been reduced to rubble.
According to the Defense Ministry, Russian troops dislodged the remaining Ukrainian soldiers from Sudzha on Thursday, following intensified military operations in the area. A military brigade advanced through a disused gas pipeline to surprise Kiev’s forces.
Home to some 5,000 people before the incursion, Sudzha was the biggest town held by Ukrainian forces in Kursk Region.
